Description

THE WHO - TOMMY Decca DSXW 7025.  This is the 1969 double LP gatefold album with 12-page booklet.  The album is partially sealed in the factory shrink (which has taken quite a hit over the years) but the album appears to have never been opened.  In theory one disc could be accessed due to the deterioration of the shrink, but it's tight enough that I don't think the disc could have been removed without removing the shrink completely.  After playing with the idea I simply didn't have the guts to try it.  The other disc as well as the booklet obviously have never been handled since the day the album left the factory.  Overall, I would grade the sleeve a VERY strong VG+, since there are a few minor scuffs on the edges and corners.  Discs & booklet are somewhere between NM and M.
GRADING: I go by the Goldmine standards to the best of my ability for grading as listed on the Discogs site.  Grading is visual only unless otherwise noted, and I will describe all of the flaws I find and include them in the photos.  If you check my feedback you'll see that I grade very conservatively.  If you're still unsure about the condition of the album feel free to request the original photos - they are of high quality and I will be happy to send them to you for closer inspection.
SHIPPING & HANDLING: For opened albums I place disc in a new anti-static sleeve and the original inner sleeve (and any ephemera) back into the jacket.  The jacket (and disc for opened albums) are then placed in a polypropylene record bag.  All items are shipped in a new LP mailer.  Shipping within the U.S. is $4.00 (USPS Media Mail).  I ship USPS First Class International for orders to Canada, & International Priority outside the US & Canada.  If you would like to combine shipping or prefer a different method of delivery please contact before you pay and I will invoice you accordingly.
