This is a THE VERY RARE - UK 60's UNRELEASED / UNDOCUMENTED OAK DEMO ACETATE EP by the band THE WOMBATS, GUARANTEED ORIGINAL 60'S ACETATE !!!.
This is a GREAT 60'S OAK ACETATE EP that I could not find ANY MENTION OR REFERENCE of on the net or any 60's books, I would guess from the sound the date of the acetate as 1964.
This OAK ACETATE EP would appeal to fans of 60'S BEAT / FREAKBEAT and even on one track ROCKABILLY fans !!!
This ACETATE EP was pressed by the famous and collectible OAK STUDIOS LABEL and carried the logo OAK regd. DEMODISC by - on the labels with the band name THE WOMBATS and the song titles written by hand.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER ONE OF THESE, OR COULD FIND ANY MENTION OF THIS BAND ANYWHERE ON THE NET, OR 60'S REFERENCE BOOKS, A REAL ONE OFF !!!
The songs are:
1. IT BREAKS MY HEART - Great 60's BEAT mid pace tune with good vocals and guitar.
2. WHAT SHALL I DO - Great 60's BEAT, nearly FREAKBEAT tune with GREAT GUITAR SOLO and great vocals.
3. MULESKINNER BLUES - Great ROCKABILLY version of the 50's tune with SCREAMS, GREAT SCREAMING VOCALS, and GREAT GUITAR.
The condition of the ACETATE is SOLID VG / VG+, plays great with only minor background noise !!!
DON'T LET THIS PIECE OF 60'S BEAT / FREAKBEAT OAK MEMORABILIA GET AWAY as you will never see another one.
