Here is an excellent copy of SHAPES OF THINGS a limited edition 7 album box set by THE YARDBIRDS released in 1984, only in England, by the wonderful CHARLY label. This beautiful box set contains 71 tracks. All seven records are in NM- condition and show only minor wear. Several appear unplayed. There are a few very light scuffs on a couple sides but these marks are strictly cosmetic and would not affect play. The faux black leather box itself is still intact & in Excellent (VG++) Condition, in spite of a few very minor flaws. These flaws include a tiny white chip on the top and slight wear on the corners. There are also a few tiny white spots on the back of the all-black box but they are barely visible. The lid is still attached and the spine & all seams are intact. THE YARDBIRDS is embossed in silver on the front of the box. The album covers/inner sleeves, similar to those used for British 12" singles, are in NM- condition, with a little bit of ring wear (somehow) and a few dark smudges. Overall this ornate box set, (with its seven full length albums and massive booklet,) is in exceptional condition.

Here is a very scarce YARDBIRDS collector's item which has long been out of print. The only material missing from the collection is from the Jimmy Page era (Little Games etc.) There are no pictures of Mr. Page in the booklet but he does play on "Stroll On" and the final 2 tracks on Record Seven. Most tracks feature either Eric Clapton or Jeff Beck on lead guitar. Here is a very handsome all-black faux leather box with lovely silver print. (Sadly, my scanner could not do it justice.) The records, sleeves and booklet are all in fantastic shape considering their age (20 years old !) Scan #10 (the op art) is the back of the booklet. This box set is the ultimate prize for the true YARDBIRDS collector. If this is one of your favourite all-time bands you need this incredible set.
