THELONIOUS MONK: "WORK!" LP - On PRESTIGE Records, PRLP 7169. Original MONO 1st pressing with the classic Yellow & Black labels and the Bergenfield, N.J. address on both labels. The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides. RVG etched in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. The personnel: Sonny Rollins/tenor sax; Thelonious Monk/piano; Julius Watkins/French horn; Percy Heath or Tommy Potter/bass; Art Blakey, Arthur Taylor or Willie Jones/drums. The vinyl is in NM condition, beautiful with a high luster! The thick laminated cover is in excellent shape & displays nicely. Very small name written in pencil on back at top right corner. There is a tiny ½" seam split at the very top of spine. No cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.
