Title: Now Pluvial EP

Label/number: Angular Records / ARC 016

Release date/country: 30th October 2006 / UNITED KINGDOM

Format: Very rare debut 7" EP only on black heavyweight vinyl as a self distributed limited edition of 500 copies in great stunning picture sleeve! Vinyl in mint condition, never played - deleted! Signed by three band members (Jack Barnett, George Barnett and Thomas Hein) as shown in the listing! A unique item!

TNP have self-produced this EP that contains 3 original tracks of startling originality and diversity. Opener 'Elvis' is a post-post-punk anthem, with chant-along vocals, a skewed disco beat and weird computer squawks. 'C.16th' starts off with industrial polyrhythms and CB chanted-vocals before mutating into thrashing punk-funk, with the 'we were right we were right' shout repeated over and over. The final track 'En Papier' is more expansive. You can hear the influence of the likes of This Heat and Liars, while the rhythm section is reminiscent of Lightning Bolt. The end of the song evolves into eerie musique concrète.

Grading system (english)

MINT (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as „sealed“ or „unplayed“ should be „mint“.

EXCELLENT (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. Shows noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G)

The record has been played a lot and shows noticeable degradation of sound quality, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
