First pressings are extremely hard to find today considering International Artists was a small independent label out of Houston, Texas and the pressing was very small compared to the major USA labels of the era.

The immense impact of this LP in particular (and the other 3 original LPs) can not be underestimated. It still is a major work today.

I'm pretty sure you know the story of this LP but here's a brief synopsis: The Elevators were being harassed by Texas police departments and particularly the Austin P.D. Several of the fellows were in and out of jail for trumped ujp drug charges and Roky was being forced into a mental institution (Rusk). International Artists needed a new 13FE album to continue the band's momentum, so the label took demos and studio outtakes and backed the recordings with audience sounds and released it as "Live". Interestingly, the LP's songs stood up quite well (I Got Levitation, Before You Accuse Me, She Lives (In A Time of her Own) and Roller Coaster are PRIME Thirteenth Floor Elevators. Personlly, I loved this album since the day I bought it.
Provenance: I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and me and several buddies from Jefferson H.S. in SA used to drive up to Austin in 1965 – 1966 and see the Elevators and other seminal psych bands at The New Orleans Club and The Vulcan Gas Company. The Elevators played in SA at Love Street downtown and we didn’t miss. In 1969, International Artists’ Leland Rogers needed money to continue recording and selling records so he sold his warehoused stock to a reseller in Houston for resale as cutouts (a common practice at that time). That reseller accessed college bookstores to sell 1000s of LPs across Texas including almost all of the International Artists LP catalog. I walked into the Baylor Bookstore in the fall of 1970 and for 50 cents each I picked up an entire collection of the Elevators LPs brand new. I already had 4 LPs but every hip dude and dudette needed backups because they wore out after hundreds of playings. The four I have listed on eBay presently were my second backups and were not played much at all. The EX vinyl qualities prove that! Oddly, they were sold at these college bookstores (University of Texas, Houston, San Antonio College, etc) in cutout bins but were never marred by the normal cutout indicators in the covers like punch holes, cut-corners, notchings, eyelets, etc. This cover was never defaced.
