Description
If you're looking at this, you know what you're looking at. This is TINDERSTICKS' "Curtains", a UK original from 1997 on Quicksilver. Comes with the with brown-paper inners & insert. Everything is mint: the records, the sleeve, inners and insert. All as new. Here are some pictures I've uploaded as I understand it's a bit much to take the description on faith when the price is high. Please excuse the quality, stupid iPhone:

This mysterious combo hasn't altered the formula much over four full studio albums. "Curtains" once again features the core sextet fleshing out Stuart Staples' sombre tone poems with beautiful layers of violin, keyboards, accordion, clarinet, brushed drums, and the occasional borrowed orchestral instrument. The surprises here are "Fast One", which features a pretty good imitation of the Velvets' noisy masterpiece, "I Heard Her Call My Name", and "Marriage Made In Heaven", a bonus track with guest vocals by Isabella Rossellini. As far as the basic Tindersticks recipe, it's not really an acquired taste; like sushi or snails, you either love it right of the bat, or it makes you want to puke. The biggest obstacles are the tempos (they're slower than the Queen Mum's pulse rate) and Staples' voice (critic Robert Wilonsky describes it as Nick Cave imitating Bryan Ferry on a 45 slowed down to 33). --Jim Derogatis
Description
By the time of their third album, Tindersticks had moved far from their rock band origins, toward a more decadent, loungy aesthetic--more Scott Walker than Nick Cave. The strings and horns present since the group's debut take a much more prominent role, dominating the arrangements. The increased reliance on orchestra, the turn toward an even moodier style, and the increasingly film noir-like vignettes of the lyrics give CURTAINS an extremely cinematic quality (which the group would eventually take further by scoring the film NENETTE ET BONI. While Stuart Staple's deep, lugubrious singing is still far from stentorian, the lyrics are decipherable enoughto provide a sense of the wasted-lives/rented-rooms scenarios that define the album's worldview. Note on shipping: I ship all records in a record mailer, with the record inside a polythene sleeve and with that then sealed in a shopping bag (to prevent moisture getting in), and then finally throw in some bubble wrap in to prevent movement.
