Description

This is AN ORIGINAL 1972 STEREO PRESSING (NOT A RECENT REISSUE) of the 1967 U.S. IMPULSE RECORDS LP titled 'The Honeysuckle Breeze' from tenor sax man Tom Scott with an all-star ensemble called The California Dreamers.  It is Impulse Records U.S. catalog number A-9162 / AS-9163, black Impulse label pressing with 'VAN GELDER' machine stamped in the runout area, and an oval shaped silver 'STEREO' sticker at the bottom left corners of both the front and back album covers.  Album cover is thick cardboard with laminated front and back cover.

This LP is the source for the sax and bass sample from the song 'Today' used in the hip-hop song “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)” by Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, inspired by the death of their close friend Troy Dixon.

Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks.  Labels are in good shape with a little contact wear on the B-side label.  Condition of cover is VG+ with the lamination beginning to come up along the left edge of the front cover and a little general wear along the edges and on the corners.  Cover has no water damage, splits, tears, writing, or stickers.  This sought after original Impulse LP would make a great addition to any fusion jazz record collection!  Media mail postage within the U.S. is $4.00.  I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - PLEASE NOTE: REGISTERED WITH SIGNATURE DELIVERY FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL AIRMAIL POSTAGE TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE U.S EXCEPT FOR CANADA (31.45) AND GERMANY is $35.95.  BUYER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE!
