One of the most progressive and innovative guitarists in the realm of bluegrass and acoustic music, this is Rice's 1979 release on Rounder Records. A very rare and hard-to-find, first pressing. The playing on this album, (by all participants), is simply stunning. With the likes of now legendary players such as Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, David Grisman and a very young, multi-instrumentalist Ricky Skaggs adding his superlative playing and tenor vocals, this LP was considered a breakthrough in the genre.
The vinyl is play-graded, and visually, in near mint condition. (I do not know if it's been played more than twice...as I had a tendency to record my LPs to reel to reel tape after I purchased them). The cover is in excellent to near mint condition with minor flaws associated with a 40+ year old cardboard cover, the worst being white showing on the bottom corners. See accompanying photos.
