Description
T REX - 'T REX'
Their 1st album with their newly abbreviated name contained electric reworkings of old Tyrannosaurus Rex material & some material originally recorded prior even to John's Children. However, new material was also included which was the foundations of their phenomenal success over the next three years.
This superb copy is a UK 1st pressing of that album dating from its December 1970 initial release and is on the EMI pressed FLY Records label: HIFLY 2

Stamper codes: 2/T & 1/G (the earliest side 2 stamper number possible)

The disc is housed within an unlaminated, semi-fold-out cover, complete with its original 'Patent No.1,125,555 inner-sleeve.

A clean, bright & unblemished pair with just a handful of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Exceptionally clean & deep-gloss playing surfaces where the only visual blemish in strong daylight is a 5mm scratch on track 5 on side 1. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than some harmless inner-sleeve removal marks and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this quality, heavy copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This 1st class audio copy has received just a few careful plays on high-end equipment and my single careful play-check at volume could find no trace of any groove/play wear to any track. the only audible distraction was a light repeating click for about 30 seconds on 'Suneye' due to the aforementioned scratch. Otherwise, this is a near-flawless sounding copy which will not disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A superb example of this easily worn cover which retains clean, unworn & unfaded panels with just a hint of ring wear to the upper part of the front & rear panels but no creasing, missing paper or any other blemishes. All corners are unworn and unbumped and both seams are unstressed & unsplit. There is slight wear to the upper edge of the spine but it is otherwise clean, unbend and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean, white & flat with just one or two storage wrinkles but no writing, seam splits or tears.
