This record, by Nigerian legend Tunji Oyelana, (His second LP but first for EMI) is quite simply one of the best (and hardest to find) afro lps ever made - it's not "soul" music as such but hell does it have soul as well as originality, integrity and it's as tight as anything. Tunji's style incorporates traditional Yoruba culture and folklore with a unique sound that's part afrobeat, part funk, part highlife with a dash of rock thrown in. Essential from start to finish. Get a friend who speaks Yoruba to translate it for you too and you realise how deep this music is.

Condition: Record VG. some small scratches and marks that do produce some crackle and pop in places but nothing major - no skips and the music is generally loud - i'm sure some might grade it vg+  - listen to the soundfiles from actual record offered. Cover is missing but as I said above - i will provide scan or copy of mine which is in good shape. Label on the a side has a name written on it -see pictures

I will be away from two days after the auction for one week - if payment is received before I go I will ship your items then - if not they will ship on my return on the 3rd June.

PLEASE NOTE SHIPPING IS NOT $4 AS ON LISTING BUT AS FOLLOWS - UK $6 and $2 for every additional record. Double packs count as 2 records. Europe $7 and $4 for every additional record. America and rest of the world $12 and $7 for every additional record. Insurance and registration are not included and if required you must contact us before the end of the auction. Items that sell for over $100 must be registered at a further cost of $5(does not apply to multiple purchases). We are not liable for items misplaced, delayed or broken by postal companies, but will do everything possible to help the search process with the post office in the rare event of this happening.
