Description

This is an original December 1980  pressing of the Australian release of a 12 track LP of  Tactics' debut album, "My Houdini" on Green (LRG-064).
Tactics formed in Canberra in 1977 and later moved to Sydney. They released a 3 track EP in 1979 (on Folding Chair) and a single in mid 1980 (on Doublethink). They had more album releases in the 80s, but in 1989 they disbanded.

This debut LP is very highly sought after and remains the pinnacle of Tactics' output. A revue by reservoir_dog, taken from the Discogs website, follows:-

"Without doubt, this is one of the greatest LPs to emerge during the post punk period in Australia. Somehow it captures something quintessentially Australian without using any of the tired old cliches. 'Buried Country' is one of the greatest Australian songs ever written (for me its up there with 'Wide Open Road' and 'Cattle and Cane') and it is a different and better version to the original single release of this song. LPs dont come much more essential than this one! The cover art is also incredible as an added bonus. It seems amazing that an LP this good never got a proper CD release."

Unfortunately, the cardboard sleeve has light brown age spotting spread across both the front & back.
Condition: "A" side audibly graded as VG+. "B" side audibly graded as VG+.
