Description

This Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Limited Edition Original Master Recording Vinyl LP (1-502/100C-2) A Tchaikovsky Spectacular/Andre Previn, London Symphony Orchestra (The Overture 1812/Romeo and Juliet/Marche Slave) dates to the early 1980s, was rarely played at that time (and only on a high-end turntable with a top-quality stylus), and has remained un-played and in storage in a smoke and pet free home for more than 30 years. The LP was visually graded, the surface is extremely clean and shows no signs of wear, it was tested on a Luxman PD441 with Grado Prestige Gold Cartridge and Diamond Stylus, and it played perfectly with no imperfections or surface noise. It is in Near Mint condition. The album cover, original static free inner sleeve, and insert are conservatively judged to be in VG+ condition.    


Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab’s Limited-Edition Series of Original Master Recordings produce dramatically improved sonic clarity by utilizing a one-half speed mastering process that is designed to capture every detail and every nuance of the sound from the original master tape. The pressings were made on material known as super high-definition vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan (JVC) and this results in an ultra-quiet playing surface that is heavier and harder than ordinary vinyl.


For shipping purposes, the weight of this vinyl LP (9.8 ounces), a ULINE mailer specifically designed for LPs, and suitable packaging would be between 1 and 2 pounds. It will be very carefully packaged and shipped USPS Priority Mail. And, a reminder, I ship records only within the USA.
