Description
This is a very nice stereo 180g USA pressing of Jean Martinon and The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performing Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 “Pathétique” as issued by King Super Analogue (catalog number KIJC-9005). The recording was originally recorded by London Records in 1958 and this reissue is from 1990 and was pressed by RTI. The record is from my personal collection and was initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner and demagnetized. The record was recently play-graded using a Lyra Kleos cartridge on a VPI Classic IV turntable.
Appearance wise, the record is mint- with no scuffs or scratches. It plays mostly very quietly. Side 1 plays with 10 light ticks noted while I noted 7 very light ticks on side 2.
The jacket is in mint- condition with no seam splits, ring wear, or bends. The OBI is in excellent condition with no bends or tears. There is only the Super Analogue Disk sheet. I purchased the record new and it did not come with an insert with notes in Japanese. The sheet is in mint- condition. The LP is housed in the standard heavy plastic outer sleeve with the gold seal on the back.
