Original OZ LP released in 1956 on Black & Silver RCA label with Long Play at bottom. Cat: L10458. This album is in MONO.
Over the next several months we have the pleasure of listing a spectacular vinyl collection of over 6000 LP's. This collection consisting of mostly Jazz but also Blues, Folk ,Rock, Soundtracks and Classical was kept in amazing condition. Most of the records were played once, transferred to tape for listening and then stored away in cliplock sealed bags in specially made cupboards. The overall condition of this collection is sublime to say the least and whatever items I list as Near Mint you can be assured that it was probaly only ever played once!! Over the last few weeks you may have noticed some of the lovely jazz & rock titles I have listed, these are just the tip of the iceberg here. I hope you enjoy seeing these listings as much as I have in offering them.
The title To You from Teddi King hints at the record's unifying concept. Each song directly addresses a lover or old flame in the second person, a narrative approach that enables King to tackle chestnuts like "The Way You Look Tonight," "The Touch of Your Lips," and "The Very Thought of You" with unflinching, almost conversational intimacy. No less important, the album pairs the singer with arranger George Siravo, best known for a series of classic swing sessions with Frank Sinatra; Siravo's lithe but large-scale orchestrations herald a dramatic shift from King's earlier small-combo dates, but it's a change that perfectly complements her spacious phrasing and authoritative presence.
Tracks: The way you look tonight/ You go to my head/ Where have you been?/ How come you do me like you do?/ The touch of your lips/ If I could be with you (one hour tonight)/ I can't believe that you're in love with me/ All I need is you/ The very thought of you/ Mr, You've gone and got the blues/ To you/ When did you leave heaven?.
There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and otherwise looks very clean. There are some light crackles throughout though and is graded at VG+. Record is in VG+ condition. Cover with back flaps has some light age spots on back, light ring wear and a tiny tear on top right corner. Cover is in VG++ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
