Description
l Tenjosajiki: “Shintokumaru” (Victor – PLP-7620) (Record: Excellent (due to some faint hairline scuffs that do not affect the playing)/ Jacket: Mint/ Obi: Mint). Recorded and released in July, 1978 and comes with 4-paged liner notes with nice photographs and an obi strip. This edition is an exact replica of the 1973 edition on Victor (even the label is exact to the original) and was officially reissued in an edition of 500 copies in 2002 by P-Vine. The record sold out in no time since original copies are as good as impossible to find and fetch ridiculous high prices on collector markets (they are almost as expensive as an organ transplant, so…). This reissue will certainly also skyrocket through the ceiling in the years to come, due the limited number of copies, eye for detail, great quality vinyl and the beautiful designed jacket. The music is just heavenly bliss, theatric play all topped off with great Magma and Carl Orff influenced, psychedelic guitar licks, pounding esoteric chants and percussion, demented female vocal choruses, swirling organ leads, all under the supervision of musical director J.A. Seazar and guided, staged and created by Japan’s enfant terrible of the avant-garde arts and all round artists, playwright, poet, novelist, social critic and all round agitator Terayama Shuji. Completely vanished reissue in excellent condition.
