Test Pressing – ASD 550 – GLUCK: ORPHEUS & EURYDICE – LORENGAR/KOTH/PREY
2 single-sided white label stereo test pressings made in England (see photos). Please note: The sleeve is HMV ASD 550 but the labels on the test-pressings state "Columbia". Highlights from Gluck’s opera "Orpheus and Eurydice": Horst Stein conducting the Berlin Symphony Orchestra with soloists Hermann Prey, Pilar Lorengar and Erika Koth.
The discs have an unplayed appearance and are almost certainly mint. Matrix nos. are YRX 1587-1 and YRX 1588-1. The commercial sleeve is excellent with minor creasing/scuffing and record impress.
