Test Pressing – KOGAN – BARSUKOV: VIOLIN CONCERTO No.2/PIANO CONCERTO No.2
The 2 handwritten white-labels on the disc indicate that the contents are Barsukov’s Violin Concerto No.2 played by L. Kogan with Rozhdestvensky conducting the Moscow Radio Television Orchestra and Barsukov’s Piano Concerto No.2 played by Barsukov himself with Frémaux conducting the Monte Carlo National Opera Orchestra. (Please see photos for exact wording.) The matrix nos. are XP ARTX 65642 21 M6 27156 3 (violin) and YP ARTX 63628 21 C M6 26616 3 (piano). There is no other identification on the disc.
We have been unable to trace this particular coupling on any commercial vinyl issue – maybe you will have better luck!
The disc appears to be in mint condition. We have not played it and are not prepared to do so. Please do not ask us. We have no reason to doubt the hand-written label but cannot guarantee that it is accurate. The disc will be supplied in clean white inner with PVC sleeve and stiffener. PLEASE NOTE: There is no commercial sleeve.
