Description
This is an original pressing on the 'private' label Georgetowne Records. Record and Cover are both M-, Record has been played a few time, but very nice. Cove in shrink wrap.Released in 1969, the track listing is: (A) This Wheels On Fire/ Stay With Me Baby/ I'm Blue/ Don't Try To See Through Me (B) The View From Thompson's Cell/ Letter To Home/ Bang! Bang! and Temptation's 'Bout To Get Me. The group mixes blue-eyed soul/R&B (Ike Turner's "I'm Blue" is given a New Orlean's funk-n-rock treatment) and psych ("This Wheel's On Fire"/"The View From Thompson's Cell"/"Bang Bang") and a couple of laid back blue-eyed soul ballad type tunes as well ("Letter To Home" etc) Band members included: Tommy Dildy-keyboards,vocals/ Jenson T.Gorka-bass/ Bill Manning-drums,vocals and Billy Windsor-guitar,vocals. The cover painting by Les Lockman. Doesn't come up very often.
