Description

An original 1st press of PEACH on UK Capricorn from '72. Matrix A1/B1/C1/D1. Labels are consistent with very 1st press and DO NOT mention 'Made In UK'. Worth tracking down the earliest copies as they are pressed on the heaviest stock - this copy is way chunky. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. There's also the insert credit sheet and both original plain inners. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) A beaut of a copy and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of small light marks per side. One of the marks early side 1 is small but semi-feelable and does sound momentarily [see detail]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. The audio quality on these early 1st's is just fantastic. Lovely quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. I'm lovin' it - this is a cracking copy. Hardly any background. Expect nothing worse than a few crackles in one brief isolated moment per side. The only deviation is caused by a small mark in track 1. You'll get 5 ticks. Unfortunate - yes. But think how much damn fine music is on this DOUBLE LP. And it is preserved to a very high level indeed. Well worth a serious think..<<
Cover (Ex/Ex-) Very nice indeed - these early copies are unlaminated and many will not be looking anywhere near this nice by this point in time. Pretty clean front rear and front with no noticeable issues. The only thing you should be able to pick out is down in the bottom right corner [on the rear]. Just a small patch where the surface ha worn off - thankfully due to the cover design it doesn't stand out too much. The interior look super - can't fault it. Edge wear is pretty slight for this title and the openings still nice and sharp. The spine look great - all text fully legible. Just a tiny patch of wear at the foot. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Insert (Ex) Prone to foxing. No ageing in evidence at all!
Inners (Vg) A bit aged and creased. No splits.
