Description
You are bidding on The Andromeda Strain original electronic soundtrack composed by Gil Melle', an American artist, jazz musician and film composer. The cover was sensational for it's time however quite fragile due to the unique design based on images from the film. As you can see in the photographs the mirrored silver "leafs" open to reveal many great images from the film in addition to the hexagonal vinyl!!
This record is 44 years old and the covers usually do not survive the repeated opening and closing but in this case the cover is in pretty remarkable condition. The front cover is in VG+ condition with minor handling of the flaps and a bit of wear at the opening where the flaps meet in the center. There is a corner ding at the top right. Please look at the last 2 photographs showing the beautiful psychedelic design on the back cover. There is an unfortunate scratch or scrape in the upper middle portion of the back cover which I will have to rate as Good.
The vinyl is in its original plastic sleeve which still has the "warning" label regarding the records unusual shape. The record is in VG+ condition. A great listening experience!
