M (Mint) - perfect, or unplayed record NM (Near Mint) - in factory fresh condition, like new EX (Excellent) Only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will please all but the most demanding collector VG+ (Very Good+) There will be some signs of wear and the possibility a few skuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still very nice
VG (Very Good) Noticeable wear and marks and usually has surface noise, still plays great
G+ (Good+) In the record industry, "Good" is well used and not well maintained.
