Description

The Beatles   Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band  Mono PMC 7027.

 

With RED FLAME inner bag and cut out insert.

 

LP:  Side 1. XEX 637-1   KT embossed     (4 RTP)     Side 2 XEX 638-1  (2 RAM)

 

First of all this LP is in EXCELLENT PLUS condition. On both sides the vinyl is clean and almost unmarked. It really is an exceptional looking slab of vinyl! There are minor spindle trace markings on the labels and without being too Sherlock Holmes I would say that this LP has had relatively few plays. On playback this is confirmed. A near flawless audio experience. The superior mono mix of 1967 still sounds fantastic today!

 

The fragile red flame inner bag still looks great. Minor creasing and handling wear. It is ripped down the side seams though. It is still a very good example.

 

The dark green cut out insert is also very good. It does show some wavy effect when flat (slight damp possibly) and it has a few minor crease marks.

 

The iconic gatefold cover is  an EXCELLENT one. Very clean, no marks, writing, rips or hard wearing marks. The inner gatefold is a superb, clean, fresh example! The only flaws are; the spine has slight corner wear at the top and the bottom, although it is intact and has clear text on it. Also there is a slight stain in the top right hand corner, which is hardly noticeable. There are also a few minor laminate creases. OVERALL, this is a pretty good example of a 1967 mono cover!

 

This iconic LP from 1967 is a great example. There are many for sale on e bay. Most are not in great condition or original 1967 releases. This one is both. Only 99p start.
