Here's the excellent debut album by the most legendary of all bands of music history.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, THE BEATLES!"
John Lennon was their leader instigator, spurring the lads on from strength to strength, gigs and adventures from Liverpool to Hamburg and back, to The Cavern, Brian Epstein, Abbey Road, flights across to Sweden, The Atlantic to break in the USA, to "the toppermost of the poppermost". The ambition was believed and the boys lived it together.
This is great music - and this issue is the original 1963 pressing in nice shape.
These crossover pressings were in a very short period where the 'DICK JAMES' publishing credits were corrected on the lable, but the last of the error lables were being applied!.
Since the lables were only GOLD & BLACK for a few weeks only before the new YELLOW PARLOPHONE design came in, all the early lables applied just for a brief time!
CONDITION;
The VINYL grades VG++, with EXCELLENT+ sound.
SIDE 1; Sparse faint marks barely visible, not affecting play.
SIDE 2; Light surface marks that aren't into the grooves, and one small 'smudge' mark at the end of track 4, a couple of extremely light sounds at the runout.
The playback on this great LP is SUPERB, the deep groove pressing gives wonderful clear sound.
Black and Gold Lables are EXCELLENT, clean, no stains or stickers. Minimal wear at the centre hole on either side.
Very presentable, carefully handled and played!
The HEAVY CARD LAMINATED 3 TAB COVER is VG, handling wear and some corner damage (often seen with this cover).
This is the Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. FIRST PRINT COVER - as seen from the Angus Bean photograph credit placement.
Happily there's NO writing on this, the rear text is clear and very little staining.
Original poly-lined inner sleeve is included, in decent shape.
A special first issue and of an outstandingly iconic and important album!
