The Beatles 1964 Capitol Records 7" Vinyl Promo Open-End Interview
Hello you fab and gear fellow and female fans and collectors of The Fab Four!
For your consideration, here's a 1964 vintage Capital Records Open-End Interview VINYL PROMO. This original 7" (the same size as a 45 rpm), record was sent only to radio and TV stations in the U.S., and was NOT available to the general public. Including the Hit Single "I Want To Hold Your Hand" on SIDE 1 - along with the open-end interview, while "This Boy", and "It Won't Be Long" are on SIDE 2.
This was obviously played many times, and I think this may be the original copy that was sent to AM Radio Station KBRC in Mount Vernon, WA, as I bought it from another Beatles collector and former Disc Jockey who had been the station's Music Director "All Those years Ago".
I just played both sides of this, and while it has surface noise and numerous scratches, it DOES NOT SKIP and, in my opinion it probably sounds better than it looks. The labels on both sides appear to have had stickers on them that have been removed, and the Capital Records "Rainbow" is obviously well-worn.

A life-long loyal fan of The Beatles for 55 years, I've been collecting Beatles vinyl records and other memorabilia for as long as I can remember, beginning with the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album that was played hundreds of times during the summer of 1967 on our awesome RCA Console Stereo.
I consider myself very lucky to have met (at a used record store in Seattle's University District in the early 1980's) and been a guest in the Lacey, WA home of legendary Beatles collector Mitch McGeary, and for many years I've been a fan and then a follower of Perry D. Cox, who I consider to be one of the world's most knowledgable experts on all Beatles and Beatles related recordings and collectibles.
