The BEATLES - SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND

A very nice condition copy of this 1967 UK 1st press Beatles classic with glossy vinyl, lovely gatefold sleeve, original inner and cut-out, and excellent mono sound quality.

Increasingly rare and highly sought after 1967 UK 1st press Beatles classic with very good plus (VG+) condition weighty, completely flat and  jet black sheen vinyl - there are some wispy hairlines and very, very light surface scuff marks on each side but only really detectable with close scrutiny under a bright light (there is a 3cm hairline on side 1 which is slightly more obvious and a very fine hairline on side 2 which traverses across the vinyl from the circumference to the dead wax area, but both are non-feelable and strictly surface only with no impact upon the audio quality); excellent (EX) condition and fully legible labels though there are some faint faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each along with just a couple of small superficial surface marks also - the "K" and "T" tax codes are embossed upon the side 1 label; very good plus (VG+) condition fully laminated outer gatefold sleeve with just some minor edge scuffing in the middle of the bottom edges, a couple of very light and small surface scuff marks on the spine, and some mild corner rubbing. There are also some non-obvious 1-2 cm surface laminate creases adjacent and perpendicular to the front edges and the reverse side spine. All art work/colours/photos/text remain in vibrant condition with perfect definition; original "flame"/red & white inner sleeve with a 5cm split on the bottom edge and a 1cm vertical tear with minor fraying on the top front edge; original "as new" Peter Blake inner cut-out;  excellent (EX) MONO audio quality throughout with no sticks, repeats, skips, or clicks (I did notice a single light click towards the end of side 1 but upon playback again I could not get the click to repeat!), and background crackle is at an absolute minimum with just the hint of some very light crackle during a couple of the intermissions and at the very end of each side - all trivial - and great tone and clarity throughout with each track remaining an excellent and timeless listen. 

A nice copy with just minor blemishes and impressive mono audio quality. A "must" for any Beatles vinyl collection.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
