Description
The BEATLES White Album, MONO PMC 7067/8
In a TOP LOADING gatefold cover with No. 0290840.
The COVER is decent enough, a few creases and visible ringwear with the usual discolouration over the decades. This is a genuine MONO cover at the top end of the initial mono press run (up to 300,000 initially). A VERY GOOD example for its age.
The LPs are original mono pressings with 'Sold in U.K. ........' across the top of the labels and 'An EMI Recording' on all 4 sides.
Matrices: XEX 709-2 (1 GRG). XEX 710-1 (7 MP). XEX 711-1 (6 GPP). XEX 712-1 (5 OO)
The vinyl shows minor scuff markings and some superficial scratches and the labels show spindle markings but not excessively.
On playback, decent enough sound, with a few clicks and ticks along the way. I have listened to hundreds of mono white albums over the years and this is VERY GOOD allowing fo its age and audio wear.
The Black die cut inners are VG/G, one is intact and only has minor wear. The other is ripped along the seams but can still hold the record.
No extras with this copy.
