THE BEATLES RARE AMERICAN ALBUM (LP) COLLECTION from BEATLEBAY – Titles from MEET THE BEATLES thru ROCK 'N ROLL MUSIC - Most every title and all Original Pressings on Capitol and Apple Records!!! This collection took nearly 10 years to complete! There are many rarities! Enjoy!
OFFERED IS: The BEATTLES VJ498 - Please Please Me b/w Ask Me Why - The First Beatles 45 issued in the USA !!!
Offered is The BEATLES 1st 45rpm record issued in America released by Vee Jay Records February 1963 and it has the much sought after misspelling of the Band’s name with 2 T’s. Vee Jay Records didn’t correct the misspelling until 1964! Includes the original red and black VEE JAY RECORDS paper sleeve IN VG condition.
. The vinyl on the Please Please Me side has several feelable scratches but plays through without any skips or sticks on my Marantz 6350 turntable. There is a bit of background noise on both sides but it’s not overpowering! The Ask Me Why side only has lots of fine scuffs and scratches and plays through fine save the background noise. The vinyl grades Fair to Good. The record label has much wear on the PPM side but you can still read all the printing. The B side label is actually Very Good. On both labels someone penned a “9” in dark blue ink; it’s very difficult to see even in person as they wrote it in the black background area.
