Description
An original 1st press of SS on the UK Capitol label from 1967. Matrix H6/H6. Stampers 1-M/1-A. Stampers this early suggest this copy is from amongst the first 2,000 copies ever pressed. Please note the labels are consistent with 1st press and hold the 'Sold In The UK..' statement. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original flipback cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Also included is the original Emi inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing vaguely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a touch of light static in one or two moments. A very decent rendition particularly given its 50 years age.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been carefully looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front - borderline faultless. That rear which so often lets the side down seems to have escaped most of the ageing processing. All flipbacks are intact but please note there's a small amount of damage to one of them down in the bottom left corner. Edge wear is super light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity.
