Description

An original 1968 pressing of Goldies But Oldies on the UK parlophone label. Matrix 1G/1G. Stampers 2AG-3RH. the heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is an original 1968 Sepia toned Emi advertising inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In absolutely superb shape and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we oculd only really make out one mark and it is very light and very superficial - nothing remotely troublesome. At thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ of playback. Intros and inetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and miimal interference. In fact the only vague interference was a touch of low-level static, occasionally, in Michelle. This is not only very minor, but also very typical of this track - really no issue at all. All other tracks playback to a very high standard showing once again this is a supremely well preserved slab of vinyl.
Cover (Ex+) A really difficult find in top condition due to its popularity. This copy exceeds pretty much any other copy I've laid my hands on. Lovely shiny front cover - like a mirror, with only one or two tiny creases. The rear, which is usually the problem area, is almost entirely free from ageing. It's worth noting the image on the rear - this is nearly always, even on a nice copy, faded to some degree. On this copy the colours are all vibrant as though they were printed only a few weeks prior - very unusual. There are no markings or tears anywhere. Edge wear is very light. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains perfect rigidity.
Emitex (Ex) Very nice condition - with no splits. One number recorded  in red biro in the top-right corner.
