Description

An original 1st mono press of Collection on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1G/1G. Please note labels are absolutely consistent with very 1st press - all publishing dates are on the left side of the labels. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L mono flipback cover. Also included is the original black and white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I couldn't make out more than a few light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. The only thing vaguely noticeable was a touch of light static in Yesterday & Michelle - which is very common. It's nothing invasive its just these tracks won't play quite as clean as the rest of the LP. The only deviations are a pop as the final note of Help! rings out. And then two ticks during 'yesterday'. Other than that expect an assured and impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex)  In lovely condition and has clearly been carefully looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front with nothing worse than a couple of thumbnail creases. The rear seems to have mostly avoided the ageing process and looks impressive. All flipbacks are secure and intact. Edge wear is very minimal for this title and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A couple of age spots. A couple of edge splits have been taped up.
