Description

An original Mono 1st Press of Oldies on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1G/1G. Stampers 1A/1A placing it amongst the first 2,000 copies ever produced. Please note label design is totally consistent with 1st press - all the publishing dates are positioned on the left-side. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original mono Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original generic white inner with 'patents applied for'. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) in very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few of those very light marks - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Even those low-key tracks like 'Michelle' play pretty clean. Interference is both minor and infrequent. We didn't detect more than a touch of light static in a couple of isolated moments. An impressive little player and the very 1st press to boot. Please note the side 1 label has a name written amongst the yellow Parlophone text - difficult to make out.
Cover (Vg+) Nice shiny front with a couple of creases and a bit of sticker residue in the top right corner. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the usual fading, but is affected in the odd place. Please note there's a name written in the top left corner. All flipbacks are secure and the text on the spine is all still intact. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is still all mostly legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Two side split. Light ageing. No other issues.
