The BEATLES ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ Mono PMC 1230
Welcome to this auction for this STUNNING copy of ‘A HARD DAY’S NIGHT’ preserved in pristine condition since 1964 with the rarer ERNEST J DAY cover.
Side 1 ‘KT’ embossed XEX 481-3N with stampers 4 GOM
Side 2 XEX 482-3N with stampers 2 GDP
The LP: is in NEAR MINT condition. This LP has rarely been out of its cover and hardly played. Beautiful vinyl sheen, no marks or scratches. You could be buying this ‘as new’.
I have played this LP carefully once and it is confirmed that the audio is as you would expect. LOUD, CLEAR and untainted by the passage of time
The LABELS are simply perfect, I can’t see any spindle traces at all. There is one slight blemish on side 1 label but it looks like a production flaw rather than any handling wear.
The EMITEX poly lined inner is a perfect example, no creases, marks or tears.
The COVER is another gem. It is an ERNEST J DAY example with intact, strong flipbacks. There is some slight corner wear and discolouration on the back, and very slight edgewear where the record goes in, however it easily rates as an excellent+ example. The SPINE is beautifully clear and still stands proud. Very little wear and no tear.
You will search long and hard find a BETTER example of a UK release 1964 Beatles LP. This really is a keeper to be put in the vault. This LP has had one careful owner since new and it is now offered for sale to genuine collectors as I believe it is one of the best UK 1964 examples of ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ to be found anywhere in 2017.
