This is the very first UK press with 3N/3N matrix, 'The Parlophone Co.' around the rim and the Ernest J. Day & Co. Utd. London flipback sleeve.
VINYL: The audio on this copy is superb! It plays through wonderfully without any unwanted surface noise, just the faintest of warm crackle in between tracks. There are some superficial marks on the surface of the vinyl but they do not affect the audio in any way. You'd be hard pushed to find a better sounding mono copy of this classic - now over 55 years young!
LABEL: The iconic yellow and black Parlophone labels are in generally decent condition - with only the slightest hint of spindle wear and a few marks on the pound sign on side one (see pictures).
Comes with ORIGINAL EMITEX inner.
SLEEVE: The front of the sleeve and the spine are both in excellent condition. The back has some writing next to the songs (the singer's name), some faded marks on the top right hand side and a small nick on the bottom of the flipback edge (see picture). None of the blemishes impact upon the all important text. A few cosmetic issues but still a decent, sturdy sleeve with bags of period character.
This record has been play tested, honestly described and carefully graded.
