Description

A Hard Day's Night 1st Pressing from July 1964 on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix -3/-3. Stampers 2-TD/3TD. Heavy pressing 160+grams. Please note this is the very first label design for AHDN - the 'chubby font' is acknowledged as the true first pressing of this album. The record comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover and includes the original Emitex inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex+) It's hard to find true 1st issues in great condition, but here we have one...a real beauty. The vinyl is shiny like new and has clearly only seen a very modest number of plays. Under close inspection I can only see a couple of ultra-feint marks so it really has been looked after very very carefully in deed. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Possibly one or two ultra light crackles in a couple of places, but we are talking minimal. And the clarity of the audio is incredible - it's definitely going to be difficult beating this one....
Cover (Ex+)  Again, has been very carefully looked after. Lovely shiny front and a rear almost totally free from ageing [a rare find]. There isn't even any edgewear - maybe just slightly on the opening edge, but that really is about it. The cover itself retains a great level of rigidity and the spin is 100% intact...It feels like you're holding a new product which, given its age, is really rather unusual.
Emitex (Ex+) Never seen one like this before...hardly any ageing at all. No splits....difficult to find like this.
