Description

PMC1230 A 1st pressing on the UK Parlophone label from the time of release [1964]. Matrix -3N/-3N. Stampers 3RAL/5RRA. Pressing weight is 160 gs. The record label states 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd' and exhibits the type face which is consistent with a first issue. The record is housed in a Garrod & Lofthouse cover which includes the original emitex inner sleeve.

Vinyl (Ex+) Retains much of its original shine and has been played minimally. [Please note:- sticker damage on the Side 1 label]. A close inspection reveals a couple of very light marks, but nothing that sounds. Needless to say it's very unusual to find vintage records in this kind of condition. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with great clarity. Not only are these early copies built to last but they really are to hard to beat on sound quality too.

Cover (Ex+) Someone really has looked after this record. The front cover is a shiney like new and the rear is almost totally free from fade. Even the spine has a 'newish' rigid feel to it and is totally intact. Again, copies in this condition are difficult to come across.

Inner (Ex) No markings, No rips or tears. Has aged, but only very slightly.
