Description

An original VERY 1st press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 3N/3N. Please note label are absolutely consistent with very 1st press [the chubby font text] - there's nothing earlier! The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover - these are believed to be amongst the first covers printed for AHDN. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens and nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference was both light and infrequent. All we're talking about is a touch of light static in one or two brief moments. It is a great little player with even the quiet tracks playing clean. Very nice indeed.
Cover (Ex) The EJ Day version of this cover is particularly hard to find in tip top condition. And this example is not looking too shabby at all! Lovely clean front without the usual thumbnail creases. Just one superficial laminate crease running through the Lennon photo section. The rear seems to have escaped the worst of the usual fading you often find on these covers. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) In good shape no splits. Just one coffee at the opening on one side.
