Description
An original 1st press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 3N/3N. Stampers 1-GRT/3-GDR. Please note labels are exactly consistent with very 1st press - 'Parlophone' mentioned in perimeter text and the text font is the chubbier version as found only on the very very 1st copies. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In fantastic condition and it really is amazing when these early copies surface in this kind of condition. Just take a look at those label shots - that's not something you see every day! Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with prefect clarity. It is very impressive and the audio is absolutely top-draw with great transparency. Interference is, thankfully, practically non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It plays very clean even in those quieter tracks.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front cover with barely a crease. The rear seems to have pretty much escaped the usual fading that so often afflicts these covers. All flipbacks are nice and secure and edge wear is very light. The spine is 100% intact. Just a tiny biro mark in green down by the 'pound sign'. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat.
Emitex (Ex) Clean with no splits. Lightest of ageing.
