Description

An original 1st issue of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 3N/3N. Please note the label design employs the chubby font and these pressings are the de facto very 1st of 1st pressings. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. We will place the LP in a poly-lined Decca inner from the mid-70's to protect it for transit [not the original Emitex].
Vinyl (Ex) In very nice condition despite having seen a moderate level of use. There are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect was a touch of light static creeping in in the final track on side 1. Overall a very impressive rendition from this genuine 1964 1st press.
Cover (Vg) Nice clean front with very little creasing. The rear has escaped the worst of the ageing process - but there's a couple of surface tears near Paul's face. Edge wear is light, but for in the middle of the top edge where there's a two inch split. We have secured this internally with tape so it's not too noticeable. The spine is pretty much totally intact. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Ex) In great condition. No splits or markings.
