Description

An original 1st press of AHDN on UK Parlophone. Matrix 3N/3N. Please note labels mention 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text and there's also mention of 'Recording 1st pub' too. This is all indicative of 1st press from the time of release. Please note there are very early 1st pressings with a wider bodied font - but this copy would have been available during the same time period whilst charting. The vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover. We also have an original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition given the vintage and has only seen light careful issue. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. No kidding - this copy is absolutely acing it for audio. They don't all play like this. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A near perfect rendition - top draw all the way. Just well defined sound stage without background to spoil the listening experiencing. Because you're close on to those pristine masters imaging and definition could not be bettered. Struggling to find fault really...At worst a couple of crackles in a coupe of isolated spots per side. Playing clean into all those fussier lowkey tracks. Superb! Would be difficult to equal - let alone better.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice shape and only marginally down on the vinyl. A very nice clean front which seems to have most of the ageing process. There's some minor stress creasing along the bottom edge. The rear seems to have avoided much of the ageing process too - just a blemish top left. Flipbacks are all intact and secure. Minor edge wear - nothing worrisome. The spine is 100% absolutely spot on. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. A one inch bottom edge split has been tape repaired.
