LP Title : Abbey Road
Label : Apple Records / PCS 7088 / 1969 / STEREO
Matrix Numbers : YEX 749-2 [mother: 2 ][stamper: GR ] / 750-1 [mother: 1 ][stamper: GG ]
Notes : Early 1st Stereo Pressing, with dark green Apple labels, with 'An EMI Recording' and '(P) 1969' text to label centres, fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, the green apple logo to the rearof the sleeve is alligned with the side-1 track listing. Plain black die-cut inner sleeve. The labels on side-2 lists the final tracks as 'The End' and omits the words 'Her Majesty'.
Condition : The vinyl has several hairline marks and scuffs, we are playing through these marks now, there are a few tiny ticks at the start of side-1, and elsewhere a couple of tiny ticks and the slightest bit of static or very minor distortion in places but I am being very picky - this really does play very well, with a very clear and sharp stereo sound. I would rate the sound of this disc as NM-.
The labels are clean with some minor wear to the centres. The black inner sleeve has a little wear.
The sleeve has a little corner rubbing, one corner crease and a number of lines to the laminate plus a series of thumbnail lines near to the opening edge (front and back), the spine shows a little wear although the text is all readable and unworn. There is a patch of laminate lift to the rear of the sleeve, near to the spine.
