The Beatles Abbey Road LP UK 1st Press {No Her Majesty} GREAT AUDIO [Ex/Ex-]

Description

An original 1st press of AR on the UK Apple label from 1969. Matrix 2/1 [1st cut]. Please note that the labels DO NOT mention 'Her Majesty' next to the track 'The End' - this is the main indicator of VERY 1st press. Well worth seeking out these early copies they sound fab and were pressed that bit heavier too. The vinyl comes house in an original thin spine cover. We also have an original black inner from the time to complete the aesthetic. Do be aware this unlikely to be an exact match for an Apple '69 black inner [close but no cigar!].
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are few superficial markings - but nothing, thankfully, heavy or nasty looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. The audio on these early copies is legendary and it is still very much evident on this example too. Highly addictive! A good clean player for the most part and playing clean into a lot of those fussy moments on side 2 - which is not always the case. There's a couple of ticks very early in 'Come Together' and 3-4 ticks midway through Octopus & 'Sun King'. Nothing worrisome - I'm just making sure that the buyer is fully in the picture. A few crackles as side 2 closes out. Overall, I'd argue a very appealing rendition and there's little negative to contend with. Just be sure you can handle a few visible markings..in order to snag a great copy at good value. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) Very tidy looking with good colour retention and just some light creasing in the bottom right corner. A couple of thumbnails on the front and one on the rear. Hardly any edge wear and firm openings. The spine is 99% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Sweet.
