Description
Abbey Road 1st pressing from 1969 on the UK Apple label. Matrix -2/-1. Stampers 5-ADR/8-GTR. No mention of HER Majesty on the lables - this is indicative of an early first pressing. The LP comes housed in an original cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Also included is the original white inner sleeve. 100% original and 100% complete...and to top it all it is preserved in archive condition.
Cover (Ex+/NM) Never seen one like this before - an absolutely remarkable level of preservation. Shiny front and back with only the very very lightest signs of use. Very slight sign of fade at the extreme edge of the spine - and that is all that is vaguely worth mentioning. The cover lies perfectly flat and to all intents and purposes looks like a brand new cover. A bit like finding the holy grail....not many of them about!
Vinyl (EX+/NM) Truly amazing level of preservation. This LP has clearly seen a very minimal level of use. Under close inspection I cannot see a single mark either side. The label shots confirm that this record is very close on nearmint - a standard which is almost impossible to attain, but this is the closest I've ever seen or heard. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity and with barely a hint of interference. The only slightest of slight static crackles were just audible occasionally in Here Comes The Sun....And we are talking very minimal. Needless to say audio quality is breathtaking - this is the whole reason why folk insist on holding out for the very first copies. They are that bit nearer to the original master recording. Let me assure you this is a hotstamper all the way. An absolute beauty....
