Description
Here is a beautiful copy of The Beatles' LP "Ain't She Sweet" on Atco Records 33-169 from October 5, 1964. This is a Stereo copy.
This LP was released in the early months of the beginning of Beatlemania! It contains John Lennon singing "Ain't She Sweet" plus a few other songs by Tony Sheridan with the Beatles' backing. Also included are a few Beatles songs and other
Mersey Beat songs by the studio musicians The Swallows.
Looking at the vinyl, Side One looks Mint. Side Two looks Mint, except for one scratch. Two or three "clicks" can be heard because of that scratch. Otherwise, the vinyl on both sides plays oh so close to Mint! Are there any other clicks? I believe I heard two others during the entire playing of this record. Was there any surface noise? Again, perhaps once or twice. What is amazing is that this LP was released during the first crazy days of Beatlemania when everyone was going Beatles crazy and yet this LP survived and survived well to the tune of Near Mint!
The cover is also amazing! I have to grade the cover as Mint!! It is beautiful! It has a laminated-type cover. It has a sheen and it shines! There are no seam spits, no writing, no labels, no price stickers. Is there any wear at all? On the back cover there is the faintest of wear in just one spot, but I will still grade the over all cover as Mint!
In reviewing this LP in the Perry Cox price guide, this is the cover that does NOT mention Tony Sheridan at all and is the rarer of the two covers for this LP.
So, an original 1964 Beatles related LP that is still in Near Mint condition and will be 61 years old this October!!
