Description

This is the 1st UK Mono pressing of the album "Please Please Me" by The Beatles on the Black & Gold Parlophone label, ctalogue number PMC 1202. Track listings are credited to Dick James Music. Matrix numbers, side 1: XEX 421-1N, Side 2: XEX 422-1N. Label on side 1 has the M ZT tax code embossed on it. Both labels show no spindle marks and no damage of any description OUTSTANDING. Vinyl on both sides have superficial surface marks / scratches, none of which affect play in any way. There are no clicks, no pops and no jumps, just loud clear Beatles music. The outer sleeve is the correct 1st issue with Angus McBean credit so far in the bottom right corner it almost goes under the flipback. The sleeve has some wear and a 2" tear to the rear opening edge flipback (bottom). The rear of the sleeve is remarkable clean and the front displays corner bumps, a few mild creases and a couple of small rub signs that have penetrated the picture on the bottom edge (see scan). This is a great copy and not one that has been battered, plays with outstanding clarity. Accurate grading is VG - VG+, although I am aware many would grade EX.
