Description
Original first pressing mono copy of the Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band LP released by Parlophone Records in the UK in 1967. Comes with original cut-outs insert and original red and white inner sleeve. This is the variant which has an extra full stop between the N and the U in 'SOLD IN U.K.' printed on the side one label. So it actually reads 'SOLD IN.U.K.' - please see first photo. I can't say if this is the thin or wide spine version as I have no other copy to compare. Neither the gatefold sleeve nor the inner sleeve have any seam splits. There are a few light marks on the surface of the record. It is an excellent copy for a 55 year old record. It looked as if it had been rarely played when I got it. I was given this copy almost 25 years ago and I have only played it a few times as I am not really a Sgt. Pepper's fan.
