Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Hard Day's Night' 1969 RARE transitional no Sold In UK stereo pressing.
This particular pressing is quite the rarity. Around 1968/1969, Parlophone stopped issuing labels with the "Sold in U.K..." label before transitioning to the black one box EMI labels in 1969. They didn't press the yellow Parlophone no SIUK labels for long so to find a transitional pressing with different style labels is quite rare!
Artist: The Beatles
Title: A Hard Day's Night
Catalogue Number: PCS 3058
Year: 1969
Number of Tracks: 13
Matrix Numbers: -1 -1
Mother Stampers: 3OH 2AO
Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a decent amount of light scratches and hairline marks on the record...none that I can feel however! Still retains a very nice gloss and shine. Rated as VERY GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD+, nice and clean. Side 2 - has more noticeable marks but still non-feelable. Well looked-after with a nice gloss and shine, VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD+.
Audio: I have listened to the first two songs on either side ONLY!! quiet run-in, crisp, punchy, rich warm sound! Lots of clarity and presence - fantastic stereo mix that sounds great. Easily rated as EXCELLENT. No playing issues and sounds great. Plays a lot better than it looks. Instrument clarity and separation is fantastic. A nice example!
Inner Sleeve: Original sepia EMI advertising inner sleeve has a 3" split to the left side with some light discoluration and staining in places. Still houses the record very well.
Sleeve: The original 1969 front laminated sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+! The front of the sleeve has a lovely gloss and shine but it does have some light ringwear and laminate creasing. The small stereo in the top right corner is easily readable with some edgewear. The rear of the sleeve is clean but lightly discoloured due to age. Spine is 100% readable and clean with some light creasing in places but a nice example.
DO NOT MISS OUT!!!
PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!
As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a nice late transitional Beatles record that everyone should own but probably won't!
