Hello Goodbye/I Am The Walrus Capitol Promo 45 1967
Absolutely legitimate issue of the rare promo 45 from 1967. Interestingly, this contains the rarest mono version of the song, "I Am The Walrus." Different to the mono version found on the U.S. "Magical Mystery Tour" LP, this version features Ringo's drums and tambourine dropping out completely after the first two "I'm crying" phrases, leaving just the strings. Also, there is an extra bar of music inserted just before the line, "Yellow matter custard." These two added features are not present on any other mono version of this song, including subsequent reissues or limited edition pressings. The only other place on earth where this mix appeared besides on U.S. 45 issues and reissues is on the original mono U.K. "Magical Mystery Tour" E.P.
The vinyl is in solid VG condition. That doesn't mean that it's trashed with feelable marks and gouges. A VG grading should mean just that. Very good. Certainly, there are a few visible light scratches on the playing surface, but by no means is the vinyl covered with them. There is still a lot of good shine. You will definitely hear some crackling on the lead-in and lead-out grooves, and in quieter passages, but they will disappear once the music starts. You won't hear pops. VG means that the disc provides a pleasureable experience, both visually and aurally. This record falls squarely within that definition.
The Los Angeles machine-stamped asterisk is clearly visible on each side.
Excessive exclamation points, desperate overselling and the word, "Rare" available upon request, no charge.
