Description

An original stereo 1st press of Help on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1 - very 1st cut. Please note that label design is absolutely consistent with very 1st press. "Lark Mus." is still abbreviated and the track 'I Need You' has a space before the asterisk. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo G&L flipback cover. Also included is a mid-sixties Decca Stereo inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In nice condition despite a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there's one light trail mark on side 2 which spans a few tracks and a semi-feelable mark on side 1...both do sound to a degree [detail below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations. When it's on song a decent player with good clean audio. But there are a couple of issues which I will detail... On side 1 ... in tracks 4 & 5 the mark mentioned above causes a few isolated clicks. Not too bad - but they are audible. The other tracks play back real nice. On side 2 there's a fine trail mark which causes a few light ticks in a number of the tracks. These are more minor than the issue on side 1. These are low-level and you kind of have to concentrate to make them out. The only track where they're more noticeable is in Yesterday - which is not all that surprising. By and large the tracks still playback fine on side 2 - with Yesterday being sub par.
Cover (Vg+) In great condition it's always good to see that iconic front image looking sharp and unaged [white!]. All I can make out are a couple of minor thumbnail creases. The rear looks good too and has avoided the worst of the ageing process. There's a couple of small biro marks in the top sector - but little else to complain at. The flipbacks are all secure and intact. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged. A bit creased. And the edges have been taped up.
