Description

An original 1st press of the Hits Ep on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1N/2N. Labels exhibit 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text. There's also no sign of the 'Sold In the UK' statement which appeared in 1964. But this copy really is super early and only exhibits 'recording 1st published' on one of the labels. The very earliest possible iteration would not have it on either label. The vinyl comes housed in an original  'Garrod' cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Has only seen very light use. A couple of slight marks per side, one small insignificant trail - nothing remotely troublesome. Plays mostly EXCELLENT+. Very nice bold mono. Rich and detailed. Clean signalled - I can hardly make out any background. Nothing worse than a couple of crackles in a couple of spots. Clean as a whistle even into the quieter tracks.
Cover (Vg+) Very well preserved, but exhibits a touch of ageing at the extremities. Clean front without creasing. The rear exhibits just light evidence of ageing. Just very lightest handling marks. All flipbacks are intact and secure.
